Our family loves traveling each year and our most favorite family resort is The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, in Arizona. We can’t wait each year to venture over from Las Vegas Nevada to our neighboring state of Arizona, for some fun in the sun and good ole family time!
We love this property because it’s not only family friendly but it’s also pet friendly. You can easily hop on a short flight from the Harry Reid International Airport, to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, or do what we do and take a family road trip, to beat those unexpected canceled flights and crazy airline delays.
Stop, I know what you’re thinking … you’re traveling from one Las Vegas hot spot to another, in Scottsdale, AZ …. and YUP, you are correct! Why, well I will tell you why, because the resort offers 750 beautiful guest rooms that include 122 casitas, that are nestled in just the right spot on property, perfect for small families and those who prefer a little more privacy.
Whether you’re in need for some much needed R & R at the spa, time on the golf course, or fun in the sun, every season at this property has something to offer. Spring, summer, and fall bring out all kinds of seasonal events at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. No need to look any further because this vacation hot spot has you covered.
Our favorite time to visit – Summer
If a summer vacation is what’s on your family or personal wishlist, then you’re headed to the right spot! Experiencing time at the Princess in the summer is our favorite! The properties summer activities usually begin sometime around late May and run until the 1st week of September. Poolside games, fun music, fireworks, and after dark glo parties at the Sonoran Splash Pool, are always super fun for the family. In the summer, we never miss the Dive-In Movies at The Sunset Beach. My son has a blast watching the feature films, while floating on his favorite pool float.

Did I happen to mention that the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Scottsdale, right on property? Seriously … I live for their lobster tacos & margaritas! La Hacienda has the most flavorful and authentic recipes that will have you salivating and wanting more. We also enjoy having breakfast & lunch at the Ironwood American Kitchen because it overlooks the Princess Pool and has indoor and outdoor patio seating. Last but not least, as a family tradition, we like to close out our stay at the resort, with a special family dinner at Bourbon Steak. This amazing award-winning, Chef Micheal Mina restaurant, offers signature dishes that will have you savoring every bite! You never have to leave the property, because the Fairmont provides so many great dining options.
Fun in the sun – 6 Pools to choose enjoy.
Whether you’re traveling to sit quietly at the adults-only pool, soak in a hot tub, enjoy family time riding down the pool slide, lay beachside in white sand, relax in a private cabana, or hit the Well & Being Rooftop Pool, … there is a perfect spot, for everyone. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess offers 6 stunning pools to choose from.

And …let’s not forget that our Furry Canine Besties are also welcome here too! The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has a pet program for your beloved pup. The Fairmont is so accommodating and they are always happy to, “Fetch,” a comfy dog bed and water bowl for your doggo, when you arrive. The resort allows no more than 2 dogs per guest room and will apply a charge of $150.00, per stay, for your pet. Finley and I love traveling here and are always welcomed by the staff. My doggo enjoys his best four legged life here at the Princess. He loves me taking him on morning walks around the property walking trail and can’t get enough of snuggles & movie time together in the room.
I highly recommend The Fairmont Princess Scottsdale, because it’s a beautiful AAA Five Diamond Resort that offers amenities for all ages, along with your furry canine. Whether you’re spending your summer at the Princess or choose to come celebrate during the popular, winter holiday season, this resort does a fabulous job in creating annual festivities for each time of year.
